20/05/26 - Update in relation to the below notice. Please be advised that, as part of the scheduled works, there will be a temporary interruption to the building’s electrical supply. This is necessary to enable the identification of local consumer units and to facilitate the provision of an additional essential electrical power supply to the exterior of the Netball & Badminton Centre building.

The interruption is scheduled to take place on Thursday 21 May 2026 between 07:00am and 09:00am (inclusive) and/or Friday 22 May 2026 between 07:00am and 09:00am (inclusive).

All existing primary heating (and controls) plant within the roof plantroom is being replaced for new as it approaches ‘end-of-life’. In addition to this, the radiant panel heating system is being ‘flushed’ to remove unwanted sludge build-up.

The new plant and flushing of radiant panels will greatly improve the efficiency and performance of the heating system.

End users can expect intermittent noise from contractors and small power tools (although this will be minimal as the works are in the roof plantroom).

Insulation Testing -  In preparation for flooring work.

Within room 0.06 the flooring has sunken where a floor duct passes underneath and will require replacement. The duct contains some type of insulation which requires testing for asbestos. The engineer will require the room to be unoccupied during the testing day. Air tests will be carried out before the room can be declared safe for staff to return. The work will only occur in room 0.06 and other rooms will still be usable. We have chosen Friday 22^nd May as many staff work from home and the following Monday is a bank holiday.
