The British Council Study UK Alumni Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of international alumni who have studied at UK universities, highlighting the lasting and transformative impact of a UK higher education. This year, five alumni were recognised for their achievements, with two alumni being named winners, and three reaching the finals of the awards across several countries.

Cast your mind back to the Italia 鈥�90 World Cup. Managed by Sir Bobby Robson, the England Men鈥檚 team boasted players such as Gary Lineker, Peter Shilton, and John Barnes. What you may not know is that 麻豆直播 alum Professor John Brewer 鈥� a forward-thinking and passionate sports scientist 鈥� was also part of that set up. John was a pioneer, bringing sports science to professional football with thanks to the modern thinking of Robson.
