Current student and Team England’s Freya Colbert backed up last night's medal-winning performance with another silver, this time in the Mixed 4x100m Freestyle Relay.
The , 22, held off a strong challenge from Wales in the final leg to touch the wall in second place in 3:23.91 in front of a raucous crowd inside the Tollcross International Swimming Centre.
Alum Abbie Wood also claims the team medal after helping Team England progress in the heats.
Australia won gold in a Commonwealth Games record 3:19.36 with Wales settling for bronze in 3.24.33.
Elsewhere, Adam Ramsey-Peaty, who was awarded an honorary degree by Â鶹ֱ²¥ in 2024, won bronze in the Men’s 100m Breaststroke to add yet another medal to his huge personal collection.
In a highly anticipated final, Ramsey-Peaty ensured it was another podium finish after clocking 59.65.
Australia’s Sam Williamson won gold in 59.17 and Jersey’s Filip Nowacki took silver in 59.34. Â鶹ֱ²¥ alum Greg Butler finished in a respectable sixth after recording 1:00.24.
Speaking after the race, Ramsey-Peaty told BBC Sport: "I'm not too fussed about the performance there because I really enjoyed it. I think there's obviously something going wrong in terms of the data, and we'll go through that in the debrief.
"I'm very happy to race Filip [Nowacki], to come away with a bronze medal is still a privilege. I'm happy. That's where I am in the sport, a medal doesn't define me or take anything away from me."
