Clearing accommodation application process

If you’re applying via Clearing, here's a simple guide to the accommodation application process.

Our halls are vibrant communities of students from different courses, creating a diverse social group wherever you live. When making your choices, stay open-minded – you’ll find your perfect fit and settle in, no matter which hall becomes your home.

Register on the Accommodation Hub

From 10.00am (BST) on Tuesday 18 August 2026, you will be invited to register on the Accommodation Hub and choose five accommodation options.

Make your choices

Make your choices based on your preferred campus area, room type and catering option. Availability may vary, so it’s helpful to research your preferences beforehand. Once you submit your application, we’ll email you summarising your choices.

Keep your options open

We recommend selecting a mix of preferences rather than focusing on a single choice. With 17 halls, there’s something for everyone. No matter where you live, you'll meet new friends and enjoy a supportive, dynamic environment.

Room allocation process

Our team will consider your preferences when allocating rooms. While we can’t guarantee your first choice, rest assured that we’ll take both your preferences and the date of your application into account.

Confirming your offer

After we allocate a room, you’ll receive an email confirming your offer along with simple instructions on how to view and accept your room online. This will be sent to the email address you provided during your application.

Accept and get ready

Once you’ve accepted your offer, we’ll send a confirmation email with all the details you need to get ready for your arrival.

Pack your bags, we can’t wait to meet you!

Get excited, it’s almost time to make your move to Â鶹ֱ²¥. Your new home is waiting, and we can’t wait to welcome you to campus!
